Service Description

All you need to know about working with pre-made (melt & pour) soap bases! We'll cover safe usage protocols, additives, styles, and more! I am recommending that you buy the "Melt & Pour Starter Kit" from Nurture Soap for this class. It includes soap bases, a mold, fragrance oils, and micas. It's a great bang for your buck, but you can buy everything separately as well to have full control on what colors and scents you get. BE SURE YOU CHECK THIS FULL LIST PRIOR TO CLASS. For this class you will need: *Microwave *Large, sharp knife *1 lb clear soap base *1 lb white soap base *2 large, microwave safe measuring cups (I use the 4 cup ones from Dollar Tree) *Mica colorants *Fragrance or essential oils (as wanted) *2 small bowls or shot glass (I use plastic Dollar Tree shot glasses) for mixing mica & alcohol in *1 plastic cup (or cup you don't care to use in the kitchen again) *2 Plastic spoons (or spoons you don't care to use in the kitchen again) *A kitchen scale *At least one silicone spatula *A mold or molds (we'll be using a 2lb mold loaf mold, but you can use any shapes you choose) *A spray bottle of rubbing alcohol, preferably at least 90% (I buy a small empty spray bottle from Dollar Tree and fill that with rubbing alcohol) *Gloves
